Q: Where can I get my Nissan Titan’s skid plate repaired?
The front end of the OEM skid plate on my 2006 Nissan Titan Off-Road got bent on a curb. It’s bent down about 40 degrees, but is otherwise fine. Rather than spend $300 to get it replaced, I want to take it somewhere to get bent back. Who can I go to? A machine shop maybe?
I’ve taken it to my dealer and a good body shop, but they both can only replace it.
A: find a welding shop or something like that and they should bend it back for you

A: average mpg for Titans are about 12-14 unless you keep your foot out of the gas and drive 55mph then maybe 15mpg and that would be without towing anything.
Titans are well known to be one of the turcks with the worst mpg…
Q: what type of transmission fluid does a 2005 nissan titan take?
I have a 2005 nissan titan with 125,000 on it. the trans has never been serviced and none of the 4wheel drive has been either. I worked in a oil change shop for years but never got to flush a titan so I was wandering if anybody could tell me what type or transmission fluid would go in this thing. thanks alot guys
A: Nissan Matic J on the bolted in dip stick. You will find in your owners manual section 9 page #3. That may be the same as Dextron 4

I have a stock 2006 Nissan Titan LE 4×4 Off Road edition and I want to but 22in RockStar rims on it. If I cant do this what is a good rim/tire combo for my truck I would really like to stay with RockStar rims but what size and tire?
A: Installing expensive heavy wheels on your truck? 4 wheel drive trucks may need off road mud tires. Yesterday there was a Titan in the shop with 24″ rims chrome rims. Trucks are for work and hauling when people dress them up the functionality suffers. Also those people don’t spend money on oil changes and services.

this might be a dumb question (cut me some slack) but i need to know if a nissan titan comes with a built in hitch…its my dream truck and ive always wanted one and am planning on getting on soon. soon after i get it i need to move across state and i want to rent a uhaul trailer (cheaper).

A: Only big tow package come with receiver hitch already installed and wiring to the hitch already there. Also that Titan has a jumper harness so your U haul or trailer company can hook up a electric brake controler if your towing more than 3,500 pounds. Electric brakes are reccomended to keep the trailer behind you.
Q: Any tricks to removing inside door panel on 2005 Nissan Titan?
I’ll be replacing the front door glass on my buddy’s 2005 Nissan Titan. I’ll have the truck this weekend but haven’t seen it yet. Are there any tricks to getting the trim panel off? There’s always a catch with the newer vehicles. My Tundra was a PITA until I got advice about the door latch bezel.

A: Lift up on the window switch pull out the retangle gray part on the hood pull screws under that and under the square cover with a philips is another philips the door panel easily comes off after that. Just cleaning out all the broken glass can be messy.

A: Sounds like a motor speed controler. (early cars and trucks used a resistor) Located under the glove box follow the fan motor wires to the controler. it is held with two philips screws.
Q: why does my 2005 nissan titan with a 5 speed transmission get worse gas mileage than my 89 suburban 350?
2005 nissan titan 5.6 liter 5 speed transmission electric fans and its a lot lighter i average 13 miles to the gallon in town driving. i have a 1989 chevy suburban 350 that gets 14 in town and it only has a 3 speed transmission. why does the nissan get such poor gas mileage?
A: Nissan is rated at 307 hp Suburban at around 189 hp Titan has two rear end ratios ones with trans temp on the tachometer are BIG TOW versions. That truck is designed to pull 9,500 pound trailers. My heavy duty trailer package 1980 454 Suburban had 411 rear ratio and got 10 mpg around town and 14 highway it weighed 8,300 pounds. All depends on how it is driven; Most Titan owner report better mileage than you get. I would have your front o2 sensors checked (nissan) calls them air fuel ratio sensors. There are new and improved AF sensors. 2007 titan added variable camshaft timing and it improved the power to 317 and did not hurt the efficiency. Actual horsepower for the titan power plant is around 357 hp. 2009 is the last Titan however Armada lives on for now. I like the simplicity of a chevy small block as compared to the 4 camshaft 32 valve Titan motor you should see what that motor does with a supercharger on it.

The titan is a truck and the civic is a small car.
A: I have a 2009 Honda Accord and I love it. If you get the Honda, get the Accord. You get a bigger and more spacious car for the same price as the puny Civic. The gas mileage is unbelievable in this thing! I live in Omaha Nebraska and with a full tank of gas I can get to Kansas City (worlds of fun) and back to Omaha and still have about a half a talk left. (Just came back from Worlds of Fun. I filled my tank before hitting the interstate and kept straight to Kansas). That’s a 3 1/2 hour commute! Toyota’s are also good cars for gas. I don’t recommend Nissan at all. Honda’s are good cars, they’re reliable, they’re amazing on the gas mileage, and will take you long ways.
*Edit* Obviously people here think it’s cool to see a girl drive a truck. Sure, but I hope you’re looking for quality. Not looks. For quality, the Nissan couldn’t TOUCH the Honda. Hondas are better makes, better quality, better everything. I went from an 1989 Honda Accord to a 2009 Honda Accord. The first Honda lasted me 20 years. That’s a good buy right there.
Q: how do i get a 4g wire from the battery to the inside of my nissan titan?

A: If you can’t slip it through where some other wires go through and you do have to drill. Make sure you put some type of gromit in the hole or protect the wire properly, from being cut on any sharp edges you may leave from drilling. Both for when you slide it through, and for long term vibration.

I have an 04 Titan that has an oil leak in the rear right axle. How can I fix this? I asked the Dealer and Tireplus they said from 600-680 dollars!
A: The reason why it is so expensive is you have to replace the axle bearing also because it has to be removed to replace the seal

im a ford person and i know what they can do, but i decided to try out a 06 nissan titan, i already have 126,000 miles on it and still owe 9,000 dollars on it. just worried that i will not have it paid off before it brakes down… i havnt had one problem with it at all.. does anyone know how far you can go with one before they die?
A: You will be just fine by the time you get it paid off it will have 200000 miles. You drive 30,000+ a year just keeping up with oil changes and yearly transmission drain and fills you will be ok. I work on some 200,000 mile Titans they still run strong. If you get a cat converter code P0420 or P0430 get the converter changed out fast. Any lack of fuel pressure or engine misfire can cause cat failure
